Who We Are... Calvary is people. Single people, married people, young people, old people, middle-aged people, people raising young children, people taking care of elderly parents, people of varied ethnic backgrounds and economic status. We are followers of Jesus. Many of us have tried to follow other leaders or beliefs but they did not work for us. We have found that Life begins with Jesus, and it never ends. We have found that relationships that begin with Jesus never end. We have found Infinite Life, Infinite Friendships in the Infinite Church. We extend an invitation to you, regardless of background to try being a follower of Jesus as well.

Out of Complexity Find Simplicity - Love God, Love Your Neighbor, Make Disciples

Jesus life is surrounded by simplicity. Until he started his earthly ministry he most likely made a living as a carpenter. A skilled trade to be sure, but not a complex life. When He began His earthly ministry he was able to take the law, which by this point in Jewish history had become more complex than the current tax code, and simplify it into two basic ideas. Love God and Love your neighbor.

Our culture has become incredibly complex. Even the simple act of getting a cup of coffee can be a vertigo producing experience. Choices, opinions, technology, and an endless list of other topics that invade our everyday life has made things complex. We are pushed to live a life that is more complex than God would have for us.

At Calvary we are going to go against the push and pressure of the age. We are going get simple. Albert Einstein once said, "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction." Jesus, being the one true genius, moved away from complexity, and we are going to strive to follow his example.

We are going to do three things. We are going to Love God; We are going to Love Our Neighbor; We are going to Make Disciples.

Loving God will be the focus of our weekend services. In our Groups we will strive to Love our Neighbor. We will engage in a ministry in order to Make Disciples. Every member is asked to do these three things. Each of these three can be an entry point for guests, but as the guest moves toward membership the virtue of these three things will be held high.

I am excited for our life together as we seek together to simply live the life God has for us.
